The Badgers Sett Enterprise Challenge is open to young people aged 24 or under, and has three age ranges – Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and Post 16 – individuals or groups may apply. You must be living in Hull, East Riding or the towns of Malton, Ryedale, Pickering and Scarborough, and have an enterprising idea such as a new business idea, a co-operative, a community enterprise project or an enterprising school/college project.

The winners of each section will pitch to double their winnings at Global Entrepreneurship Week in November 2016.
In order to be eligible to challenge Ruth Badger in her Sett you need to be no older than 24 and in formal/informal education or training, you need to live in Hull or the East Riding and want to establish your enterprise project or business in the Hull, East Riding or the towns of Malton, Ryedale, Pickering and Scarborough and it must be realistic and viable. You cannot use any winnings to pay off past debts, only for what is laid out in your pitch.
You or one person developing your idea must be willing to be the responsible person and all applications must have with it a letter, signed by a responsible adult aged over 21; this can be a parent, guardian, teacher, youth worker or business adviser. As well as the cash prize, winners will be given the opportunity to work with a successful entrepreneur to help your venture grow.
